Veggie Toast

Simple, fun to make, and very filling, this makeshift veggie toast is great for a snack or lunch.  There are so many fun things to do with toast and, when I set my mind to it, I feel like I can get pretty creative – which is abnormal for me, especially when it comes to food styling.  I’ve seen those extravagant sandwich pictures all over instagram, their perfection making me feel incompetent.  But when it comes to food styling, I like to style things that any random rascal can recreate.  On the other hand, that could just be my sorry excuse for not having the patience and skills!..You will never know the truth 😉

Here it goes:

Ingredients

  • 1 bell pepper of any kind
  • 1 avocado, halved
  • original hummus
  • gluten free bread
  • capers (for a pickle-y flavor)
  • purple onion (for a nice kick)

Instruction

  1. Simply toast your bread, slather hummus, cut your veggies and lay them on!
