There is nothing worse than coming home to your favorite pair of brown sandals scattered in pieces all over the ground. I pretty much dropped to my knees and let out a long and woeful, “Noooooooooooo!” I may or may not have tried to tape my beloved sandals back together..Damn dogs.

Since then, it has been months since I have found the perfect pair because I am pretty picky when it comes to shoes — especially sandals. I am not really picky in general, but when it comes to sandals, I feel I have the right. I hate those kinds of sandals that are just for decoration. You know what I mean, the ones with no support, no elasticity, and no purpose! My philosophy has always been “feet first” because it is the foundation for the rest of our bodies. If we don’t take care of them, we will be sorry later in life.

After trying on what seemed like tens of thousands of sandals in the past few months, I finally came across these shoes from LimeLight at Rack Room Shoes in Meyerland Plaza, Houston. These summer sandals are comfortable, versatile, and are totally resistant to my sweaty prone feet. That’s always good news, right? Ever worn sandals that serve as your own slip and slide? It is not delightful in the slightest.

They are reasonably priced and go with everything “daytime” appropriate. Or you can break the rules and break them out at night – whichever you prefer, you rebel. 😉
