I have decided to utilize my vita-mix more! And by more, I mean twice a day instead of once. I love that thing. There is SO much you can do with it! From making ice cream to soups, it is just a lot of fun to have around and is definitely worth the investment. Yesterday, I was feeling like I needed some good protein after my workout, but I was also feeling a bit more fatigued than usual. Perhaps a solid detox was in order. So, I simply used these ingredients to see what I could create for a quick boost me up:
- 1 1/2 cups of frozen antioxidants (I get mine from Costco; Sunrise Growers Organic Blend)
- 1 scoop of any protein powder (I use Vanilla Raw Protein)
- 1/2 cup of Almond Milk
- 1/2 Tsp of vanilla extract
- 1 TBS of Collagen
- Toppings: Gluten free steel cut oats, vegan mini chocolate chips, almond slivers, blueberries and blackberries
Mix it all together with a spoon and dig in! Seriously yummy and THE BEST post workout snack. I was buzzing around again in no time. There are so many more benefits from cleansing your body, and you can do that just by eating well.
