You should organize your wardrobe by color, season, and type of clothing item. Have you ever heard that?

I know people who do this, but I personally can’t bring such disaster upon myself. Sure, it might make my life a little easier when trying to find something to wear, but I can’t see it lasting. Life gets in the way, which is another way of saying I’m lazy. When it comes to my clothes, I’m always looking for shortcuts. For instance, it has never occurred to me to wear matching socks. Those who know me probably chuckled when reading that. Look, I’ll tell you the same thing I tell them: Life is too short to look for the matching sock. Just put on whatever you find first and get going. I believe the same concept applies to organizing my closet by color, season, and style. Nope.

So yes, it may take me a little longer to get ready for an event, but what kind of woman would I be if I didn’t make my boyfriend get angry because I changed 10 times? Can’t have that. In conclusion, I say organize your closet and your life the way you want.

Last weekend, I went to a fun little street market in downtown, Houston. There were many vendors, but the only one that caught my eye was this handmade leather watch that were sold by this lovely couple. I’m a sucker for unique watches and I have been needing a black one for my nighttime escapades. Black is for night, brown is for day – that is the rule for everything, according to my fashionista friends. To them, it’s like some abominable act of the devil if one wears brown to a night event. So, I adhere.

This is the one that caught my attention, and I have been wearing it as much as possible ever since. I think it looks so sophisticated and rustic. Plus the face of the watch is just my style. Old fashioned, yet suave.

These people were so nice, they even gave me a discount because I’m a “fellow blogger.” I paired this lovely wrist watch with black and gray accents, accessorising with a Target leather purse to match. I won’t lie, I felt pretty cool and ready to own the night.
